Eyeglass Holder Instructions

If you regularly take your eyeglasses on and off, chances are you have put them down somewhere and then forgotten where they were located. Make your own beaded eyeglass holder chain so you will be able to carry your glasses with you in style wherever you go. You won’t have to worry about losing your glasses again if you always have them in the same place–securely hanging around your neck.

Instructions
things you’ll need:
String or beading thread
Scissors
Beading needle
Decorative beads
Crimp beads – 2
Eyeglass holder ends – 2
1 Wrap a length of string or beading thread around your neck to measure how long you want the eyeglass holder to be. Cut the length of string to suit your desired length, plus one inch.

2 Take one end of the string and pass it through one eyeglass holder end. Bring the string back on itself and position a crimp bead over the place where the two strands meet. Use a pair of pliers to crimp the bead on itself and hold the strands together; the strands make a loop to enclose the eyeglass holder end this way.

3 Thread the other end of the string with a beading needle and string decorative beads down the length of the string, stopping approximately 1/2 inch from the end.

4 Pass the free end of the string through the second eyeglass holder and affix with a crimp bead as you did in step two. Cut the excess string with scissors.

5 Pass the ends of the earpieces for your eyeglasses through each eyeglass holder end and wear it around your neck to hold your glasses securely.
