1 First some basic knowledge. If you have a high prescription (-5.0 or more) there are a few extras that will interest you. Ask your eye care professional about a poly carbonate lenses and anti reflective coating. These items will be key not only for fashion but also for sight. Also ask for polished edges.
2 If you have those thick lenses you may also want to look for a plastic frame. They are very chic right now and can hide the “coke bottle” edges. Stay away from square frames and go for round/oval shapes.
3 If you do not wear thick lenses the possibilities are endless. Wire frames are less noticeable, however as said before plastic frames are “in” right now. Take the shape of your face into account. Round frames will accentuate a round face etc. The color of the frames are important too. Darker frames look fabulous on people with light color eyes! Try on lots of pairs and take your time. If you don’t know where to start try on two pairs of each shape/style and narrow your choices from there.
