As we grow older, another of the parts of our body that seems to wear out is our eyes. If we do not already wear glasses for short sightedness or other defects of our eyes, we may find as we get into our late 30’s that our eyesight is not as good as it should be. If this is the case, then we may need to look at some non prescription eye glasses to help us out.
Typically, our ability to see objects close up deteriorates, and we find ourselves having to look at things at arms length or more. This can make reading books particularly awkward, as our arms might not be long enough, and the fact that the human eye does not have a zoom mode, makes it all the more frustrating!

Because we live in a rural part of France, non prescription eye wear is not readily available in our small village, or the villages nearby, and so a 90 minute round trip to our nearest main town would be necessary to locate a pair. You may well be in a similar position yourself, and it is one of the few downsides to living in the beautiful countryside, far away from civilization.
Thankfully, non prescription eye wear is readily available to buy through many sources over the internet. I would recommend using an online eye care specialist (as I did), as the quality will be much higher, plus you have a much better support base with them.
