Paint Removal From Plastic Eyeglasses

Eyeglasses are an extremely important necessity for people with less than perfect vision. If paint splatters on your eyeglasses, try to remove it quickly while it’s still wet. If the paint has already dried, removal becomes more difficult but not impossible.

Instructions
things you’ll need:
Liquid dish soap
Small bowl
Rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover
Cotton swab
Lint-free cloth
1 Scrape the paint gently with your fingernail. If the paint remains, continue to Step 2.

2 Hold the eyeglasses under cool, running water. Apply a drop of mild liquid dish soap on the lens and gently rub with your fingers. Rinse the lens clean with cool, running water. If the paint remains, continue to Step 3.

3 Fill a small bowl with 1/4 cup of rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover. Dip a cotton swab into the alcohol or nail polish remover.

4 Rub the paint gently with the cotton swab. Only rub the front of the lens, not the back.

5 Rinse the lens clean with cool, running water. Wipe dry with a lint-free cloth.

Tips & Warnings
Rubbing alcohol and nail polish remover may dissolve the coating on some lenses.
