How to Choose the Best Style of Reading Glasses

There are numerous places to buy reading glasses. You can go to your local drugstore or big box discount store. They even sell them in upscale department stores. Your choices are many and sometimes confusing. Do you want the little half readers or do you want something more flamboyant? Personally I like something fashionable, it makes me feel less old.

If you are looking for something to use that would be easy to carry in a pocket or purse, the pocket readers are great. They fold up and fit into a compact case. Some even have a mirror that can double as a compact.

If you want something more fashionable you have the option of getting a full frame reader. They are now made in many colorful frames with lots of styles to choose from.

Frame shapes can be an issue as well. If you have a small or petite frame, naturally you are going to want a smaller frame. A small face can look good in a modified rectangular shape or a rimless frame. If your face is square shaped or larger, you may want to go with a bold thick frame. The shape of the frame will draw attention away from the size of your face. One frame that blends easily with most face shapes is the oval or tear drop frame. Just about anybody can wear this flattering style. The best advice is to try on many styles and view yourself in a mirror or bring a friend. Most of all don’t be afraid of getting something different, after all you’ve earned the right to wear what you want!
