How to Remove the Anti-Glare Coating on Eyeglasses

If you have a high prescription on your eyeglasses, you may have opted for the anti-glare coating to prevent light from reflecting off your lenses and obstructing your view of the world. However, this coating can chip away over time and leave your visibility less than perfect. In times like this, removing the coating may be your best option, especially if you can’t afford to have it professionally removed.

Instructions
things you’ll need:
Rubber gloves
Armour Etch
Cotton swabs
Non-abrasive hand towel

1 Dip one end of a cotton swab into the Armor Etch jar. Coat the front and backs of the lenses. Do not rub the cream in, just apply it.

2 Set the glasses to the side and allow the Armor Etch to set for five minutes. Wash off the cream with warm water.

3 Wipe the lenses dry with a soft hand towel. The anti-glare coating should now be removed. Repeat Steps 1 through 3, if needed.

Tips & Warnings
Wear the rubber gloves for protection, as Armour Etch can be harsh on skin.
