How to Cheaply Clean Eyeglass Lenses

If you have worn eyeglasses for 30 years or 30 minutes, you will inevitably need to clean smudges, streaks or other things off the lenses on your glasses. You can buy a cheap lint-cloth or even the disposable lens cleaner wipes. However, if you don’t want to spend extra money there’s an even easier method.

Instructions

1 Turn on a bath or kitchen faucet and let run until somewhere between warm and hot but not so hot that it’s unbearable. Let the water run over both the inner and outer sides of each lens. Five seconds each side is fine.

2 Rip off a good-sized piece of paper towel (about 12 inches is enough) and rip in half. Take one piece and run under the warm water then put about a pea-size drop of the dish or hand soap and work into a lather. Drape it over either lens and using your thumb and index finger to grip each side of the lens. Rub gently back and forth for about 5-10 seconds. Repeat for opposite lens.

3 Rinse & Dry. Enjoy the clarity!
